Forgetown
Forge Town is very much a rough and ready frontier sort of place but with the benefits and engendered enthusiasm of youth. The central road and the many lanes are muddy, the buildings are mostly of wood and crappy slate but here where there is no law, the best of the adventuresome traders find a means to actually trade in Deci - without trading in Deci, as it were. Fist fights are no uncommon but already more lethal disputes take place in the main drag, man on man. It’s a tough sort of place, but not a bad sort of place.
Effect [SSN 4966]: Static Income from Forge Town demesne present at the time of writing (25/08/10) and increased thereafter by those people is increased by 50% - from the Forge Town source only, note. These were after all the Greedy Fathers Of Forge Town, and they it seems gain the benefit more than some spotty-come-lately.
Any character that spends a turn in Forge Town can use the following Focussed Orders (unless otherwise stated each is but once each per turn):
SSN 2873: “Take no dung from nobody, no how!”
The character gains the Dirty Fighter Tag at Level 1 for no XP expenditure.
SSN 2873: “Mister, I don’t like your face!”
A dice is rolled. On a 1 the character makes a name for himself and gains +20C to the value of any bundles he sells in Deci* that month, to a max of ten Bundles. On a 2-5 the character starts a fight and makes a friend, and in effect gains 1 random but suited to the area Tag at level 1 for no XP expenditure – until the possibility is exhausted. On a 6 the character gets his head publicly kicked in (no matter how many pts he has in LRP…)
SSN 3799: The helluva it was, she never loved me anyhow
Increases the birthrate in Rural Deci by +1. No limit to how many times this may be used by a given character/s.
SSN 3799: Ride ‘em ter (City)
A number of herds (cattle) equal to the character’s trader tag are droved to the named city within the mainland Empire. Such costs the character 10C a herd so moved.
SSN 3799: Walk tall!
Character gains the Presence Tag at level 1 for no XP outlay.
SSN 3799: Everythin’s bigger in Forgetown
If used in the same turn as the first order in this study list ("The helluva it was, she never loved me anyhow"), the birthrate for each such order is increased to 1.2.
SSN 3799: Gold, gold, gold!
The character initiates a small gold rush amongst local prospectors and sells them a claim to some useless bit of ground. The character gains 20C for each level of their Trader, Liar and Diplomat Tags.
SSN 4966: I’m lookin’ at a tin star with a drunk pinned to it
If the character has high tailed it to Forge Town then is the turn this order is used the level of this study (5) opposes that of Investigation, Bounty Hunter and similar set to find him.
SSN 4966: Ain’t no rules in a knife fight
The character is able to raise a Levy equal in level to that of his Forge Town Demesne, for that turn only, for Forge Town only- and preferably to attack a single person…
SSN 4966: If you want to call me that, smile
A dice is rolled. On a 1 the character suffers so badly he loses a level from a random Tag. On a 2-4 he gains a random Tag at level 1. On a 5 he gains a level to a current Tag. On a 6 he may add a level to a Tag of his choice.
SSN 4966: Bad luck (subject)
The named target in Forge Town when rolling the effect from any local Focussed Order (not ritual) has it rerolled and the worst of the two applied.
SSN 4966: Damn shakes, let ‘em roll
A dice is rolled. On a 1-3 the character gains his Gambler Tag x 100 in Centuries – this is the full effect of that Tag to such. On a 4 character gains 500C from Anath. On a 5-6 Anath gains 500C from the character. If the character has no centuries then that character counts as having taken a loan, with all that entrails.
